ADMISSIONS

South Eastern Beauty Academy offers year-round open enrollment, with start dates typically scheduled the first week of each month. IT IS REQUIRED THAT EACH PROSPECTIVE STUDENT ATTEND A PRE-ENROLLMENT INFORMATION SESSION PRIOR TO SCHEDULING A START DATE.  Should the Academy be at capacity (maximum 25:1 student to teacher ratio), the prospective student will be placed on a waitlist determined by the date of the Pre-Enrollment Session. These free sessions are designed to provide information regarding the cost of attendance, financial aid opportunities, policies & procedures, program schedules, etc. Please refer to the South Eastern Beauty Academy Facebook page for Pre-Enrollment Information Sessions times/dates or call 606-788-0091. 

Prior to the start date, all applicants are required to attend a pre-enrollment session to review the school catalog, policies and procedures. Per the bylaws set forth by the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology, in order to obtain admission to South Eastern Beauty Academy, specific documentation must be submitted. Prior to accepting an applicant for admission and signing the enrollment agreement, applicants are REQUIRED to provide a copy of the following documents:
1.) Driver’s License or Photo ID
2.) Social Security Card
3.)  High School Diploma, Official Transcript, or GED
*Homeschooled graduates must provide both a diploma and transcript. Homeschool diplomas must be issued by a state approved home or private school.
**A foreign high school diploma or transcript must be translated to English by a Kentucky Board of Cosmetology approved external agency. The agency must also verify the foreign diploma is the academic equivalent of a United States high school diploma. 

Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the date of enrollment. Any student under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the start date.  The Academy may require additional documentation for proof of guardianship.

South Eastern Beauty Academy may reschedule the start date if admission requirements cannot be met. This includes, but is not limited to, submitting required documentation and the payment of program fees and tuition. All non-tuition program fees–including the application fee of $100.00 (One hundred & 00/100 dollars) and the kit and curriculum fees must be paid in full no later than the signing of the Enrollment Agreement. All fees are non-refundable. Arrangements must be made with regard to tuition monies prior to enrollment. A tuition down payment may be required at the signing of the Enrollment Agreement or a student may opt to pay tuition in full. In addition, an approved payment plan may be agreed upon (as stated herein) in regards to a tuition balance. The school accepts private payments (in the form of cash, check, credit/debit card, or money order; as well as financial aid (Title IV), and/or other forms of approved public funding. All students are responsible for paying the total tuition and fees and for repaying applicable loans with interest. The Academy does not participate in school loans.
